Yesterday I headed up to London, where Michael was waiting for me at the station….
…. we headed over to East London’s Spitalfields Market and in true soppy Valentines style had lunch at the restaurant where we had our first date.
We had a Caipirinha or two ….
I had the Roasted Coconut Butternut Squash Tostada to start….
…. which I followed up with the ‘Gringas’ (Two grilled wheat tortillas with a layer of refried beans & melty cheese, finished with pink pickled onions, soured cream & salad,topped with smoked Mexican chipotle chicken.
…. we wandered round the antiques market looking at the wares and the characters selling them before heading home.
